Mr. Stephen Birr graduated from Indiana University in 1967 and
from South Texas College of Law in 1974. He moved to Fort Lauderdale,
Florida, in 1974. He practiced with his brother James O. Birr, Jr.
before moving to Tavares, Florida, in 1981. Since 1974 Mr. Birr
has represented numerous clients in all kinds of legal matters in
the South and Central Florida areas. He has been married for more
than 30 years and has two children. He served his country in the
United States Naval Reserve from 1967 through 1970 and is a Life
Loyal Sig of Sigma Chi fraternity. He is an avid runner, back packer,
and triathlete. He gained valuable trial experience with the office
of the Public Defender of the Fifth Judicial Circuit of the State
of Florida as a felony and misdemeanor/
DUI Assistant Public Defender for six years. He practices in the
areas of personal injury, wrongful death, criminal law, DUI defense,
divorce, child custody, and family law.

James O. Birr, Jr. is of counsel to the law offices of Stephen G.
Birr P.A., in the Fort Lauderdale office.
Jim received his undergraduate degree at Indiana University in
Bloomington, Indiana, and his law degree from the University of
Florida in 1969. Jim practices in the areas of civil litigation,
real estate, probate, wills and trusts, and business and corporate
